HD Radio (Professional) Problems

Hi all, looking for advice. I recently bought a certified pre-owned 2011 328i with the standard HD Radio Professional model. 8 /10 times I turn on the radio, any music is overshadowed by loud scratchy static. It's unbearable. It usually subsides after about 10 minutes of driving. Sometimes longer. I took it to the dealer, they kept it a week and came back with "couldn't replicate the problem." Any initial thoughts on what it could be? It would be helpful when I take it back.

Sounds like there's a connection loose somewhere. I would try and replicate the problem while it's at the dealer, if that's possible. I have no idea why it'd take a week to figure out if they can replicate it.

I had a connection problem at the back of my head unit. I was having a different kind of noise (high-pitched noise that didn't go away, even when radio was off). Nevertheless, not a bad place to start looking for problems:

CPO? Why not take it back to the selling dealer and ask them to make it right?
