I've spent my time searching but finding old information.

I had my car in for wastegate rattle and they wouldn't replace the turbos under warranty without doing the DME update (SIB 13 09 10). Unfortunately the 'software' has fixed my wastegate issues although I'm not sure how software can fix a mechanical issue and seems to me that it's a temporary fix.

I know several years back it was reported that this update neutered the car
to calm down the wastegates and was also a Band-Aid for the HPFP issues.

Coming from MSD80, what can I expect at this point? Is the latest DME update pretty solid or can I expect my car to be neutered?
