How the Hell do I take off this front plate bracket!?
Guys I have no clue how this is mounted. I work at toyota and we use simple screws. I took off my plate. And this bracket is mounted on. Is it even possible for me to take it off?

So is this just like a mini screwdriver? So I'd get a Torx 15 screwdriver (granted that's teh correct size), and it will fit in the hole and I can unscrew it? |

Its really not that hard...It is a torx I am just not sure which size...When I got my e92 I learned that I needed to own a torx set once I tried to take off my kidney grilles for painting..I bought a set at home depot for 12 bucks or so and so far it has been very useful.
I have used the set so far on the plate frame, kidneys, and to remove the interior sunvisors to remove the stupid airbag stickers. Tip:If you are planning on taking off the plate frame to replace it (crack or whatever) when replacing the torx screws put a little locktite on the inside of the screw holes and a little on the screw itself. The torx screws on the plate frame aren't threaded into the bumper they are just drilled holes so once you take them out they never go back in as tight as they should be...Locktite solved the problem...you could also use like a permatex or something I guess. Hope this helps.

So I just bought a torx set and came home all excited. Well it didn't work and neither did any hex's. T10 fit but it didn't grab anything. Which leads me to believe that it looks like this bracket is like permanently bolted into my bumper or something. Where there's no design of any kind on the head to take it out.

those are rivets, not screws. they will have to be cut off. good luck.

If they aren't torx, and are rivets, just take a drill bit that is slighlty larger than the diameter of the tiny hole you were trying to stick your torx drive into, and drill it out.

Btw, what material are those fasteners? Metal or plastic? If they are plastic, they may just be push plugs. You can also remove the undercarriage cover underneath, and feel the back side of your bumper.

I'm a porter. I just called them star screwdrivers. Didn't know Torx was the formal name. It is on a jag x-type. Fasterns are made of metal. I thought it might be a pushpin faster but it isn't. Thanks guys.
