{REVIEW} A1 BN UK BMW Specialist - Herts - SO HAPPY!!!

A1 BN UK Ltd - BMW, Mercedes Specialist

Cavendish Road, Stevenage, SG1 2ET

Oldgreysteve has mentioned A1 BN where he works a few times... The owner Ed even popped down and showed his face at the most recent Ikea E90post meets.

After Yoro (allan) mentioned his previous positive experience at A1 BN... I thought I would give them a go too.

I have a couple of good garages i use on a regular basis, but I am always on the look out for someone better and competitively priced.

Firstly, they have an awesome setup, clean garage, large site. I will let the pics do the talking here.

I wish people would work on my car as much as i care for my car.
And this is the service i received.

Protective plastic covers were put on the seats, so they would not get dirty.

I had the following work carried out.

M3 front control arms fitted
Brembo Front Brake discs, Akebono Pads & new oem brake lines.
Brake fluid flush
Thorough health check on the car & diagnostics

I arrived at 8:30 where i was greeted with a fantastic coffee from Steve and was finished by about 2pm.
They test drove the car before and after the works for comparison results and the service was just perfect. I was put at ease by how cleanly and carefully the car was clearly worked on.

I really cannot rate A1 BN high enough! I definitely recommend them for any works you require doing!

I am going back for my coolant flush and walnut blasting very soon!

HUGE THANKS TO ALL AT A1 BN!!! I have found my new go to shop!!!

I think we need to look at the cracks in the concrete

I think our resident artist needs to finish his C63 rendition

Quiet it may look today but we were busy....

Well what can I say another busyish Saturday(nothing like a week day though) it was good to hook up with Josh we managed everything on the list bar the coolant change which would of taken place had a brake line not created an issue(which our Alan sorted without fuss) but never mind.

Managed in-between looking after customers making coffee(burning and spilling the milk)to take a iPhone snap or two of Josh's car on the ramp

We started the car by around 9am with a test drive to get our bearings as to what we were looking to do and apart from Alan stopping to pass a partial MOT re test after some work had been completed I didn't see him. Car was finished from memory around 2pm'ish(we close at 1pm-seems a regular thing with us)

What else can I say there's a bit of unfinished work which Josh will re visit us for but if time wasn't against us personally I'd of at least of liked to get that tracking ultimately sorted(though Josh has that in hand and I tried a good business acquaintance of mine in a neighbouring town to get something sorted on the alignment front but I think time wise it was slightly against us as it can be on a Saturday)

Josh had a quick look around the shop with Ed who showed him the engine we've got (923 mile E92 330 lump of a 63 plate car that had knackered bearings)that the local BMW dealer off loaded to us, which was ideal to practice walnut blasting, which Josh saw the outcome of. So we're happy to go live on this basically after next week(mines getting done early in the week so I'll write a report time permitting) but on that car the crap that come off the valves even with such low mileage was interesting... but back to the day

Josh went for a spin in my car(didn't even know he'd gone out in itwith Vish one of my tech's prior to taking the excellentPerformance BMW system off and Rudz will be up to see me very shortly for this to go on and some other goodies he's gonna love it.

Apart from that good to see you Josh, hope everything was as good as you were expecting judging by the OP looks like we hit the spot. Hope you enjoyed the banter and abuse I see to get(even from the cleaner) its all about fun enjoying what you do.. Your the 3rd for member to us us after Yoro and bmwak.. all seem at ease which is what its all about...

Re our garage this is why our customers seem to like us

If you can put a review in the above we'd be very grateful thanks for the review which I'll forward to Ed, which makes coming to work all the more worthwhile.

And if you're wondering the story behind that E Class Diesel estate that we were undertaking the engine change on which we started at 5pm last night and spent an hour or so on before coming into work today as we left at 2.50pm this afternoon it was back in the car ready to be hooked up

Oh and poor Alan says Hi

Steve

And I need to get back to you toosorry

On gone rears Sparky I just need to know if it's all bushes or not and if you're using Poly's or standard items, though is imagine standard items

I understand everything slotted into place without drama the only drama was a brake hose breakage, which was unfortunate but was sorted quickly and I only learnt about it after the necessary replacement item was called up and installed

Pads went on ok. The braking is obviously not that great till they bed in correctly. But i am so glad to have everything sorted. Thank you so much again!

I have given you a shoutout on my thread, but i think you need your own dedicated one!... Actually i'm going to create one now!
