Smile Comedy/reminder/troubleshooting nightmare

Guys, I literally almost smashed the entire house with a baseball bat I was so frustrated. Have spent 10 hours trying to uncover the problem. I thought I had fried the entire right side of the car doing an LED conversion and High beam GP swap..... So mad it probably cost me romance tonight.

Turns out I never replugged in that harness on top.... All is good and I am happy and feeling like an idiot.

Take pictures and mark things!

Anybody else ever accidentally skipped a step that caused a fake crisis?

I did mate, I was cleaning the manifold of my 320d, and forgot to plug in the MAP sensor, put everything back and the car wouldn't start and then I saw it on my work desk Such a pain to disassemble everything.

I was so frustrated when I tried to push it in I broke the front of the MAP sensor and had to run off to the shop to buy a new one - so that mistake even cost 40 euro

Long time ago, doing a headlight swap my buddy and I thought we fried the entire car's electrics. We checked and rechecked every plug and connection and could not figure out what the problem was... until one of us tripped over the battery we removed at the beginning...

When a certain installer put my OSS lights in back in 2010, and they forgot to put in the O-rings and seals from my old set of headlights, havoc and tragedy ensued in my headlight system.

However, it was far from comical

Fortunately, I was able to intercept my OEM headlights, and have them shipped back to me, and have a certain other shop that actually knew what the fuck they're doing put everything back to OEM, while I waited on a new set and got it done RIGHT.

I use Comedy loosely because I was losing my mind! Glad to know I'm not the only one. I swear, any project can come undone by the simplest thing. Worked out great in the end but I am sore and blew a whole day.

I was doing some brake work a few weeks ago and after undoing the rotor retaining screw on my right rear tire I found that I couldn't remove the rotor. I thought this odd because I had just changed the rotors not 6 months prior and had liberally applied anti-seize between the rotor and hub... Anyways, I beat on it with a rubber mallet for about 10-20 min. getting frustrated as all hell because I knew that it simply shouldn't be this difficult.

That's when I realized that the parking brake was still set. Doh!

Man, it is always something like that! Not the first time for me either. It's one of those things. Glad you figured it out. I was about to accept no high beam headlights
