which tire brand? so many to choose from? comparison site???

I just ordered my set of staggered 19" iForged Essen's and need to start looking into tires.

Any sites or reviews that can help me determine a brand/model? I just want good tread wear, in which I do the ocassional canyon run, but will never be at the track or auto-x'ing or anything of the likes...

Any suggestions, links, sites etc. to help determine would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Dave

Go to the Tire Rack site. There are a lot of reviews for each tire.

PS2's are the best all around, very versatilte and very good tread life, especially for the lower wear rating... if you want something a little more agressive then that... try Bridgestone RE-01R's...these are amazing. or Yokohama Advan Neova's are very similar. If you want something cheap that handles well all around try BF Goodrich KDW2's... excellent tire and very competitively priced. just don't purchase anything by goodyear, garbage tires.... toyo t1-r's are okay and nitto NT555's are alright. nothing special but they are a decent all around tire. i think for what you described... your best bet is the PS2's it handles very well in the wet and the try but is also very quiet and very comfortable for a Max Performance tire.... they aren't cheap, but they last a lot longer than normal tires and your wheels aren't cheap, good wheels need good tires, the worst thing is when you see people with $4000 custom wheels wrapped with like... general exclaim uhp's or kumho's.

hey dude... i just saw your thread about Kumho's and General's. I really wasnt trying to be a dick... i wrote that BEFORE i saw that thread. but if you are set on these two brands, i'd go kumho. but i'm really telling you from someone who has had lots of different wheels on lots of different cars incl. customs wheels. don't skimp on tire quality. you will regret it later. also... if you want that price range. look at BF-G G-Force Sports... they are a GREAT tire and i think they are around $125 each.
