I'm not a huge fan of 4 doors either, but damn! How does someone even do that.
Sorry bout the car. But try and get it to be written off. And maybe you can start over with another car? I know if it were mine there and they fixed it i know it would never feel the same. Peace of mind is something I like to get with my cars. |

Were there any open Big Mac boxes and fries scattered throughout the Subaru? Woman driver might have been hungry.

i have an e90 pre lci. it was $4000 just to replace fog light, right inner fender (front half) and front bumper cover, painted with bmw paint, through insurance. i demanded all oem parts, no aftermarket. all i did was hit a racoon, a big one mind you. looking at the picture, that crease in the rear quarter is enough to write off a 6 or 7 year old car. and judging by the position of that rear wheel, you'll want it wrote off. have it taken to a BMW collision repair location at a dealership, those prices are sure to get'r wrote. sorry to see this, but it's always a great excuse to upgrade

Just had an update on the car, it will be repaired. That would include;
Replace quarter panel, replace rear door, replace driver's door glass and various trim, replace rear bumper cover, replace rear suspension components, repair and paint 3 rims, wheel alignment. I will end up paying to have 4th rim painted since it would stand out otherwise. I'm guessing the other driver must have been texting or something. |

do not accept or sign off on the car when you get it back until you test drive and are satisfied. if any thing looks or feels out of place, give it right back. make sure all warranty on the repairs is clearly detailed as well. hopefully it all works out for you.

hmm, in my mind I don't think they will fix it. Be careful, they say they will fix it so they can take the car to the shop, then another look and they send you a letter that the car is gone. I had that experience with my MDX, they kept saying it is fixable until I released the car to the shop and the next day they informed me the cost of fixing is beyond the value but by that time I could not take anything from the car except personal items. A month later I received report from cops where it clearly stated the car was reported not reparable two weeks before it went to the shop. Insurance is tricky that way, they make sure they can recover as much from parts as possible. \
Good luck |

write off ?
Well, this is a tough call.... write of or not.
driver doors are OK ( looking but trim + paint + additional labour =$1500 ) Passenger door should be replaced as a whole thing, ( $700 doors + labour+ paint = $2500 ) Rear quarter is about $750 ( labour + paint = $3000 ) Suspension should be replaced fully with the sub frame ( axle +++ some other unexpected parts = $4500 ) Rims are no biggie at most $500 for refinishing unless damaged due to crack or severely bent ( from impact , may also need tires is the car was pushed by the subbie few feet ), clean up of the car before delivery ( buffing the paint work, wash and detail $400 ) If there is no damage to the structure of the car post or the rocker, then the car will be fixed but if there is any damage to the structure well, that is going to be a different story but.. you will find out only when the car will be taken apart. And yes as previously stated sometimes they ( insurance ) will start the project and then half in it will say .... actually NO lets not finish it and write it off. |

Didn't see if you had this or not but if they are replacing all that stuff request mtech bumpers and diffuser. Maybe get an aftermarket coil over. Some shops will do that for you
