One of the best exhaust mods I have done in the past was simply switching my stock DP to a high-flow catted DP from AR Design and with the rest of my system stock. It gives you a nice aggressive tone (slightly higher) on cold start without waking your neighbors up, the PE was too loud on cold start. At low RPM it is slightly more bass like, but a good type of aggressive bass sound. Similar to when I had the PE with stock DP. At higher RPM it's definitely louder and higher tone than stock, a sporty tone without being overly loud, but slightly quieter than PE. It produces a deeper exotic tone and does not drone with my AT, but the PE did. I had a post on this a while back. If you have an MT, then it shouldn't drone with PE. I have currently a custom modded Akrapovic. However, if I had not spend the money on this already, I would have kept it stock + catted DP. Gives you a nice performance boost and you can still pass emissions. |

AA exhaust is around 35 lbs lighter than stock.

It's all subjective...I did the reverse. Went from the 'IS' to 'PE'
