Getting my muffler deleted? On my 328i E90 2008

I'm thinking of getting my muffler deleted tomorrow. I had a couple questions to start off with. Maybe for those that have their muffler deleted could a help a brother out

1) It doesn't void any warranty right?

2) What would the perfect size of pipe be? I'm seeing 2.5 and 3.0 (3.0 to be safe maybe? )

3) what tips should I get? http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/00dual_tip.asp

4)how much should i pay for everything? including tips, I live in the DMW area

I would really like tips like these. part #?

thank you guys, I'm a newbie to the mod. Just want it to be perfect! Thanks!

Of course it does - but just the portion of the warranty that covers your exhaust system. Also if they find anything else that goes wrong, and they can link it back to that muffler delete, you could run into trouble too, but the likelihood isn't great.

It's also illegal, but again, the likelihood of you getting hit for that is probably slim to none (depending upon where you live.)

Hope this helps!

Perhaps others can chime in for the other items

If you go to an actual muffler shop, they should have tips there you can choose or at least a catalog of tips they can order. Mine cost $90 with tips. I didn't care for branded tips because well they are just tips. I have a 328i e92 and only 3.0 can fit on my mtech bumper. I wouldn't go bigger anyways. Check out my thread for pics of the tips.

+1 on what staples and dark said.

I have a muffler delete with 3.5" tips and it clears my m-tech bumper, but on a stock non m-tech one it barely has room for a 3.5" tip. It's pretty much centimeters of clearance, just check out my build thread below in my signature to see how big it looks and the sound of it

Good luck on your modding journey.
