are HID ballasts covered under CPO
I installed aftermarket HID's. 2 weeks after my ballast went out. 2 questions.....
Is the ballast covered under CPO? Will the dealer care if I have aftermarket bulbs? |

no, not covered and yes they will blame it on aftermarket bulbs.

In this case, it sounds like you got bit by subpar aftermarket bulbs. In the future, go with the best--authentic Osram CBI's--5000K goodness delivered by a custom salt mix rather than the cheap way out of putting a color filter over the glass. Best bulbs out there.
More expensive than aftermarket bulbs, yes. But less expensive than a new ballast. I doubt your dealer is gonna cover this one, sorry |

I just installed rocket boosters in place of my turbo on my CPO 335.
If my manifold blows, will the CPO warranty cover it? Thanks for any help. |

But seriously though, OP could try to be slick and throw the stock bulbs back in, and they might do it under a factory warranty, but again, not likely under CPO, regardless of whether it was OEM or not.
They really bastardized the CPO as we once knew it- it's almost hardly worthwhile to fork over for a CPO BMW anymore. IMO we're better off getting some pretty decent aftermarket warranty coverage, that might be a bit more money out of pocket, but may cover much more of the car down the road. |
