Lug Nut KEY Help!!! 8 options

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...11&hg=36&fg=25

These are the 10 possible lug nut keys that I need. 40 was tried at a repair shop, I found another post with the guy with 37 has 21 "splines"/crevasses. Mine has 19 that can be counted on the inside, so the key should have the same amount as well.

Thanks!

Even if someone can find more detailed pictures of each one, then if I can just narrow it down to 3 or 4, I would be fine buying them from ECS

If these are OEM original locking lug-nuts, would the dealer have this information based on the VIN?

My brother lost his locking lug-nut key and had it overnighted through his dealer. Infiniti though.

Dealer says no. Parts guy said that I need to "chizzle" off the lugs. Then I asked if that would damage the wheels and he said it was standard protocol. I again asked if he was sure and he forwarded me to the service department. Service said they could squeeze me in in a week, and it would be $50 haha

Go to your local reputable tire shop, they have a socket just for those instances. Have them replace the locking ones with standard lug bolts. Buy 4 Lug bolts from your local dealer first.

When I bought these exact lock bolts my parts guy was very explicit to not loose the keys since the kits were not coming with key number and there was no master set at the time from BMW. My kit came with 2 keys, no registration or key number information.

Yeah, I bought the car used and only had one. Pretty sure I lost it while moving this past month, not exactly sure what happened. I bought 6 from ECStuning, and they said I could send back whatever isn't used for a refund. We will see if there is a logic to the number system, and if so I will post my findings!

I'm guessing its going to be 35. I think each number you go up has an extra spline. I may be wrong though.

Yes that is my guess as well.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Adapter/ES65788/

It happens to be the only one on ECS that you can make it out how many there are, and I believe I count 19. I just don't want to guess wrong and have to pay shipping every time. How many did your #31 have? 15?
