My repair was the original tabs to be plastic welded back on.
Paid 50 for the job on 1 light. But, don't do it yourself. Unless you done it before. Go find a place near you that repairs or remanufactures bumpers. Go up to them and ask how much. Also, for me that was 1.5 years ago, and still strong. My top tabs were busted, but luckily they were partially still attached. So far took my lights off twice, and going to take them off again.... Hopefully this weekend. DN |

Thought i will give an update.
* So i bought a used lamp. Took the lens out of that. Then took the lens out of my cracked headlamp. Now will fit good lens back * For lens removal, i tried heat gun and scratching away seal on my cracked lens- headlamp. midway i got fed up and tried baking open. Removed electronic stuff (adaptive module etc. high heat will damage most printed circuit boards). 270 for 10 minutes was not that useful. 285 at 23 minutes worked better. Just pulled the lens and it came out (but half of the seal was scratched away already). broke a mounting tab in the process. plastic at that temperature will easilyt deform. |

Heat gun was taking too much time.so i turned to baking. For the halo rings, if you lift them at the rear of the lamp (where they end), you will be fine.
the adaptive module was corroded and the pcb inside. Not sure if i should change the wiring harness also now due to this..would be a pain. |
