Currently on VMR front: 18x8.5 ET35, Rear:18x9.5 ET33
My current tires are front: 225/40, rear 255/35/18
Lowered on H&R sport springs

I'm ordering new tires next week (Michelin PSS) and I want to go a little bigger since the tires are stretched in the front quite a bit and a little in the rear.

Was thinking... 235/40 front and 265/35 for the rear.. Do you guys think that 265 will rub? And should I go bigger than 235 in the front? Thanks

You might encounter slight rubbing here and there, but only way to find out is testing them. Anyways little bit fender roll and it's solved or added camber.

I wouldn't go any bigger than 235/40/18 at front. First it matches the rear tyre better than wider would. Second some weird rubbing inside might happen with wider tyres, when turning full lock turns etc.

Michelin PSS are a pretty square tire, but I think with 235/265 and your offsets you will be fine. I would even try a 10mm spacer in the front to make it a little more flush, but leave the rear alone.

Alright thanks! Now all I gotta consider is whether or not I really need the bigger tire (I have a 328i which is pretty slow to begin with and I've heard that a thicker tire will slow the car down even more)

Is it needed? Probably not but it will look nice Michelin tires do run a little heavy. Maybe go with a larger size but a different tire brand.

For an E90 LCI, normally we suggest higher offsets with the 265 tires. Since you're running ET33s, you may get a little bit of rubbing with the PSS. It runs wider than other tires in the same sizing.

Hmm. I've heard the PSS is the best street tire. Any other recommendations?

My mistake! It might be close to rubbing. Like VMR said the LCI has a wider track in the rear. Another good option are the Bridgestone S04 tires. They are a PSS equivalent and more cost effective. Check out some of the reviews on here.
