They look great! I would definitely pick this over the LUX. I might go this route whenever I get bored with my coded GP Thunders. Thanks for sharing your pics.

I have seen both and they both look good. I chose MTEC for the quality build, price and excellent customer service from Sonic Tuning during my product search. As I have said elsewhere, with similar look and without the long-term reliability factor being available, it comes down to the next level of price, vendor service, vendor location, etc.

MTECH H8 daylight?

Hey, great post and pics. It looks like they shine bright in the day too. I just ordered my 2012 M3 coupe and might get the MTECHS but have been very displeased with LED H8 replacements before for my 2009 E90.

My question is, during daylight, with the sun shining at your headlights, can you still see both the inner and outer ring as bright as you would the OEM halogen bulbs? Or does the sun sort of fade the halos? If you say there as bright as the OEM rings even in full sunlight, then I would love to buy these, but $230 is a lot unless these Mtech H8 LEDs are impressive under all conditions. Thanks!

The base technology in the replacements supplies both angel eyes but 1 AE is closer to the source so it'll be brighter. Naturally, they'll be not as intense in sunlight but overall, its a marked improvement. I'm very satisfied.

Thanks!

Thanks Wonka! I guess I'll stay with the stock Halo bulbs for a little and then see if I want to upgrade.

I bought the MTec V3 angel eyes for my E92. Is it normal that I can see both rings fully lit (even in closed space / garage) only if I bow down and look at it at a straight angle?

If I move my head up or to the side - the outer bigger ring is not fully lit.
