E92 Headlight Blackout + Orion v4 Rings
Finished doing the blackout mod and installing the orion v4 rings from umnitza. Overall very happy with the results, makes my 335 unique and set apart from the rest. The rings have an oem appearance but are noticably brighter and crisper, with a more purplish hue. If I had to redo it I would NOT. The time and effort to do the entire project along with the ridiculous $400 for rings made it not worth it. When someboy with an e46 told me they bought their similiar looking rings just a little less brighter for $30, I was very disappointed.
Anyway, here are pics to help anyone who may be interested: tips: There is a screw under the rubber tube in the corner of the headlight. make sure to remove before prying open. Tint the corner, dont blackout the inside I removed all the old adhesive and resealed it with some new silicone sealant You should tape up the lens on the inner bulb along with the outside of it and blackout the chrome part, I personally didn't Sand the area of the ring you will epoxy to the old outer ring tab. I think mine broke off but the wires on top keeping it in place. I will add more tips if I remember any. Ive had them for almost a month and they look nice, that is all. |

looks great, I am too pu$$y to take my headlights apart. But damn, didn't think the rings went for that much... I seen the V2's for under 200. I guess the V4 are the cats pajamas.

$400 for a couple pieces of plastic, some five cent SMD LEDs, and a basic driver. Now that's price gouging!

E92 rings are way different I have been doing tons of research to do this. My e46 was so easy and cost 40$ these are 10x more work and price for rings are Insane cheapest I seen were 150 and the LEDs are 1/2 the amount

Just finished mine up this weekend too OP (with Orion V4s). Definitely not a very easy nor fun project but the result is great. The rings look 1000x better than our stocks and the blackout is a much more aggressive look.
Btw, what did you do with the wiring of your V4s? In the 7th picture they look completely hidden. V2's go for $250. |

If your doing blackout, a lot of people paint the wires black and hide them that way. Ive removed the bar from my outer ring and then will drill through the shroud and feed it in that way.

Yea I wouldn't recommend to buy those rings. They are taxed like a mf only because we have e92. Literally shit piece of plastic and leds. Oracle is almost same shit but 200. But if you got it then fuck it but then pay someone to do it lol. I wouldve just got lux half price and pnp but I wanted outside ring to be as bright as inner.
