M313 Alloy Wheel Issue - any suggestions?
A couple of weeks ago I had three of my M313 alloy wheels replaced under warranty due to corrosion around the centre caps. At first they looked fine with the older one, a fairly good match. However, since giving all four the Megs Hot Rims treatment last night, I’ve a bit of an issue in that three look as shiny as West Coast Customs best bling efforts and my original is obviously nearly 3 years old and shade or two darker!
Appreciate this is a bit of a ‘first world problem’ but would appreciate some suggestions as to how to correct..! So far I’m considering; 1. Bit more abrasive/acidic - cleaner Megs HR is quite mild 2. Autosol polish in a discreet area? 3. Full refurb? 4. Hope it corrodes before October (not too likely) Anything I've missed? (apart from leave it obviously, and have dicounted buying a new wheel on cost grounds) |

Just give your original one a good clean and polish and leave it!
Even if you get it refurbed they wont be able to get an exact match for your new alloys, thats why with diamond cut its best to get all 4 refurbed or 2 done at a time |
