I've got a E90, which is 3 years old. Last year I had one of the door lock mechanisms replaced due to failure, and have now got 2 other doors which are failing on a regular basis.

Just wondered if this was a common issue, or whether I'm just unlucky?

I've just got my car back, whereby it's had both door locks and mechanisms replaced under warranty.

So that's 3 door lock mechanisms replaced, just the front passenger door and the boot to go...

It now sounds smoother than when I first bought it, rather than a clunk sound.

Again though, anyone else found door locks to be a common issue?

Mine failed about a year ago, so at 6 years old. It was just my drivers side but that was replaced under warranty like yours. I think it is a fairly common problem
