what is such the big hype about Halo 3??? Is it really that good?? I hjave Bioshock for 360, which is a first person shooter and is fuckin awesome. Is Halo 3 that much better? I cant beleive im posting this?? work is slow, and Im bored lol

Gears of War is better than both of them. Halo 3 campaign is 'bleh' compared to GoW and Bioshock.

BioShock is a wonderful game. The story, the music, the voice acting, the lighting, the water... it's really gorgeous - if such a thing can be said about such a twisted place like Rapture I just beat it about a week ago and unlocked 46/50 of the achievements (took my time, was busy!)... I need to play it on hard and save all the sisters this time to unlock most of the rest

Hands-down though, I don't think it's fair to compare Halo to BioShock. While BS is an FPS, it's not very traditional and the replay value is very low. There's no multi-player (MP) and it can get repetitive. For a scary game, it's great (although I admit that wears off very quickly). I heard FEAR and Jericho are pretty good horror games.

Halo? It has a HUGE fan-base that continue to find new things to do in the game. Sure you can play the game normally, and play the MP normally, but then there's the glitching side and eventually if you're really into MP you'll probably get exposed to new tricks or ways to help your gameplay. People continue to play H2 till this day. H3 will likely enjoy the same amount of gameplay and more, especially with the in-game video recording and Forge. Also, it's competitive.

I'd compare H3 with Unreal Tournament, Rainbow Six, and Gears of War as far as FPSs go. BioShock, while an FPS, is somewhat different to me.

yeah Bioshock is very unique. Unlike any game Ive ever played. The whole theme of was cleveraly done. Im looking foward to getting Assasins Creed

Bioshock was fun to play.
Weapons were also something unique.
I really liked it.
I'm now playing Halo.

Since it hasn't been mentioned, i'd say try Rainbow 6: Vegas. I thought it was better than GoW, but not as pretty. The cover system is much better than GoW also (no sticking to walls, heh).

You know, the thing I actually like most about Halo 3 is the level of polish they put into it. Everything is done so well, it's like the opposite of H2.

If you want to best of both worlds, get The Orange Box. HL2 + episodes is better than Halo 3 campaign and on par with Bioshock one, TF2 multiplayer is the best multiplayer game ever.

I was looking at that today. I've never played any of the HL games... are these just all the old ones repackaged or is it some new stuff as well?

The Orange Box has HL2 + the episodes (1&2). Episode 2 just came out, as did TF2 and Portal, both included. HL2 came out I want to say 3-4 years ago. Portal is actually the best game of them all. I can honestly say the Portal is the best game I've ever played, which is really saying something. (I'm a pretty hardcore gamer.)

Then you're in for a treat - I'm jealous of you. HL2 is quite simply the best game of all time. I played it through on PC when it came out and it was spectacular. I'm pleased to say the the Xbox version loses nothing - I just played it through a second time, and will go through Episode 1 on xbox before I play Episode 2.

It's hard to describe how many magical moments there are. The puzzles, the weapons, the story mixed with the gameplay, the characters. I could go on, and on.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and get it now.

Halo 3 was good, but ultimately ho-hum. Multiplayer is awesome though.

It takes some getting used to. There are too many WTH-I-Shoulda-Got-The-Kill-For-That moments but I've been doing better... have to realize that in H2 the battle rifle (BR) could be used both long and short range. In H3 a BR is no match to an assault rifle (AR) close range so you can't pull off the same short range battle you would've in H2. In other words I had to adjust and start using the AR short range

I'm not sure about H2 vs H3 yet... I like elements of both, but I think H2 was fairer. H3 spawn points are terrible! I've spawned into a headshot a few times... seriously Bungie, thank you for spawning me next to my teammate out in the middle of Valhalla in a Shotty Sniper match And on High Grounds for example, you'd beat someone and next thing you know they spawn behind you on the beach or such :sad0147:

I'll have to check it out *Adds Orange Box to the list*

Only other games I'm waiting for right now are Halo Wars and Resident Evil 5. Maybe GTA5, though I've never been a fan of the series.

Agreed, if you have anything remotely resembling a gaming PC, get it on Steam, the 360 version sucks in comparison.

Yeah, i just saw my first commercial for that game last night...doesn't seem like they're marketing vit ery much...maybe CoD and others are just overshadowing it.
