Spare Tire
Hey all,
Before the flaming begins, I am aware there is a search function and I have made use of it. I am looking at getting a spare tire for extra insurance with my non-runflats. I know I can buy the OEM kit from several sources but I am really not prepared to spend $250+ for a donut. Has anyone considered checking out the junkyards (or virtual ones) for a spare from a wrecked E60? I did a search on carpart.com and found a few for sale. I am trying to narrow down the exact model and year that makes a good donor for our cars though. I am also facing the issue of my x-drive. I need to make sure the rolling diameter is a good match (I have OEM size tires on). Any help or feedback?
