I purchased this unit second hand to replace mine believing it was faulty as it kept cutting out. Turned out that the radio was ok and it a problem with the MULF unit.

Had it installed in the car (2005 e90 325i) for a few days and it is in good working order. The only 'negative' is that it suffers from the common display problem (ie, in very hot conditions some parts of the LCD display go blank). If this becomes annoying it is not a difficult DIY fix with a replacement LCD panel being around $100. Asking price is half what I paid for it.
