Hello,

I have an e92 with OEM suspension. Will I be able to run a square set of wheels with the following specs without any rubbing issues?

18x9.5 et 40

I am looking to have the wheels be as flush as possible to the fender. The wheels will not come with tires so Would I be able to run 245/40/18 on the wheels without any issues?

You will need at least 5mm spacer to clear shocks at front. Even with 5mm spacer it will only have 1-2mm gap. So i would use 10mm spacer at front, but i recommend staying with 235/40/18 at front. Also i would add 10-18mm spacer to rear, because otherwise front is more flush than rear. Depending on the rear tyre size and spacer thickness rear fender roll is most likely needed.

That might hit the strut, so you probably will need a small spacer up front.

I would do 245/40/18 all around so you have the same amount of stretch in the front and rear. I really dislike the way staggered tires look on a square set of wheels. Up front use a 10mm spacer since that is the smallest size that is hubcentric and a 20mm spacer in the rear to match the front. Should be perfectly flush and I don't think you'll need to roll your fenders because of the stretch.

We run 18x9.5et35 (OZ Alleggerita HLT) on our 335 race car with BFGoodrich R1 265/35 square.
Intially we had a little rubbing with a net et30 offset (5mm spacer) with the PSS9s and AST coil-overs.
We then switched to Ohilins and the collar was much larger so we had to run a 20mm spacer to clear! It really pushed the front wheels out. You can see how far out the front tires are set. It's not just from coming off a turn, they are out that wide!

Personally on my street car I'm running a staggered 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with 255/35 up front and 265/35 rear. I could run a 275 in the rear, but I just don't need that much traction since my car is NA and not a turbo monster.

If you run an 18x8.5 up front you could get a bit more tire on the rim and play with spacers to ensure a complete flush fitment. You won't have to worry about rubbing issues at all either. As you can see, my street car is pretty low and I've tracked it quite a bit and have never had any rubbing issues.
