Luckily, there is a Shell gas station nearby the corner selling diesel fuel and currently it's around $4.23 so it's not that bad.

Weather conditions is estimated be sunny, clear, 75 and rising at the time of our meet.

As for food and chatting afterwards, we'll all decide from a few places I found around the area once we gather up.

I'll be PM'ing the attendees with my cell phone number if you have any questions or simply to reach me if you show up a little late on Saturday so we don't leave you in the dust.

Hope to see you all there!
I just punched the address into Google Street view... good spot, AzureHaze! The parking structure seems rather large... shall we meet at the main entrance of the Sports Calet? The parking deck might be rather crammed on a Saturday morning, so we might not be able to freely build our own litte 335d cluster up there.

How about we agree on some kind of item we bring along, so that we can recognise each other? How about a carbon-clogged EGR valve?

Well, maybe not necessary... I'm the guy with ze German accent.

See you all on Saturday!

Good call. If the parking structure does get crowded, the entrance is a good back-up plan.

Be sure to check your tires before showing up to the meet everyone!

I am very impressed with NON run flat tires! when I need new tires the run flats are history! thanks AzureHaze! I wasnt impressed with JBD, but to be fair I guess it was in limp mode when I was driving it maybe next time I can get another spin.

Oh and RallyeRalle Im pretty sure you dont have Carbon build up. (or not enough to matter)

The Michelin PSS certainly has a lot of grip! They really help when you're canyon carving out there.

As for the JBD, surprised you were driving in limp mode that whole time! I think most of the JBD owners can agree that it never activates during the middle of a drive and it only occurs when you stomp on the gas before the car can warm up properly. I set mine to 100% of course.

Yes, RallyeRalle's car is just fine! Good seeing you both out there. Thanks again for the quick coding Temporaptor. No more greeting gong sound!

I will definitely be getting those tires when I need new ones. I want to keep a a spare tire though, so I will have to find someone with an extra wheel I can have or buy to keep a spare tire on.

Ill have to take it for a spin when its not in limp mode, I would like to feel the full power!

No problem on the coding. I wasnt sure if it would get rid of it, but I guess it did. GREAT!
how do you like the 5 turn signal flashes? I still have to do mine.

Only 3 of you guys were out there? I thought the reason I didnt see any other d's at bimmerfest was because they were all doing the canyon run. Shame

It was only suppose to be RallyeRalle and me from the start since he wanted to try out a 335d w/ JBD but I expected the low turnout. Golden rule of a car meet is to always expect half or less of the expected attendees.

I went to the Bimmerfest two years ago and didn't see a single diesel either.

Wish I could have been there. Got called out of state for work on Thursday and got home late Friday. Couldn't swing it Saturday. Anyway, looked like fun. Mine would have been the only non-sport car there (I do have Bilsteins mounted though). Maybe a repeat in the near future?

The meet-up was really nice. I liked the Angels National Park a lot - would be great to go there for camping some day.

We discussed briefly in our meet-up that our next get together could be organised during one of the upcoming "Cars and Coffee" meetings in Irvine (every Saturday morning). This and next weekend are already quite full for me, but how about we head for one of the first weekends in June?

My take-home message from the meet-up was: I need non-Runflat tires, I need a JBD, I need the BMWhat WiFi adapter and app for iPhone.

Thanks again guys for a great meeting!

This sounds good. I live a few miles from the Cars and Coffee venue. Let's shoot for one of the first weeks in June (7th or 14th).
