New tires?

So I'm ditching the run flats and getting michelins power sport AS-3 tires.....finally my tire has a slow leak that gave me enough of pumping up my tires everyday for a week now
So out with the old and in with the new......can't wait to see what the ride is going to be like.
I know there are tons of posts on this subject but hey,how is one more going to hurt,so let me know how your first day went when you ditched the run flats.
I will also do my review here of this tire and report my unscientific results

Great choice! I run the same tires and love them.

That is a great choice for an all-season tire. Just curious, why was your tire leaking?

It had a piece of metal debris that was punctured through but I didn't dare take it out as I knew I would getting my first taste of riding on flat run flat......and it's recommended to not use the tire once you drive it flat.i believe that's what the manual says
Is this correct?

I love my AS3's! Even with my JB4 they have amazing dry and superb wet traction. I drive my car like it's meant to be driven and they never talk back. I don't push my car hard enough to necessitate a pure bred summer tire. Definitely will buy again! Especially if I get the claimed 30,000 miles out of them.

The ride quality is much smoother without sacrificing the BMW feel which was my main concern. I read many post about people complaining that their car felt slushy after ditching the run flats due to the softer sidewall of their new tires. In the AS3's case I can't tell at all and I am very critical of my car. I researched a month or so before buying. As they say tires ARE the most important part of the car as they are the only part that actually touches the ground. They are a perfect all around tire in my opinion.

Ok my review is in.......dun dunna naahh!!!
Ok so I only put about 30km on them today for my work commute and I must say it is a smoother ride although still a stiff feeling tire, which to me that is sporty but not as stiff or jarring on little imperfections as the run flats are.
My commute route is a good mix of city and hwy and I took an off ramp at a good speed to see how they felt gripping the asphalt and I must say it felt like riding on rails.......much better cornering confidence.
Can't wait to see them with some tire shine on them
I recommend these tires!
And they are on sale at Canadian tire right now with a $70 rebate.

That is correct. The tire is unusable if you've driven it for an extended period completely flat.
