265/40R18 on 8.5" Styling 162
I recently bought a 2008 335i in need of new rear tires to pass state inspection.
I had a nearly-new set of Continental DWS that were on some wheels I bought for track use on my other car that were _really_ close to the right sizes, and effectively free, so I figured I might as well try the set on for size - worst case I needed to buy tires anyway. I am happy to report that they fit just fine, no rubbing and more importantly no errors or idiot lights from the DTC or ABS systems even though they are 5% taller than the stock 255/35s. Fronts were reasonably close at 235/40 instead of 225/40 so no concerns there. Just sharing because prior to gambling on whether they'd fit I did some searching around here and didn't find any previous threads on this topic. Christian KC, MO '08 335i |
