Hooked up my V1, and now how a small problem, help

I tapped in to the homelink fuse (the one that is shown in the DIY), however it appears that this connection is always on. I turn the car off and it stays on. I gotta manually turn off the V1-a real PIA because its easy to forget.

Does anyone know of any other fuses that i can tap into that give power while the car is ON?

Thanx

if you did in the fuse box you got the wrong fuse. the fuse your in in think is called auxilary you need to use a empty fuse slot in the accessory. top right hand corner.

Double check which fuse you are tapping into against the fuse map on the back of the glove box cover.

i have homelink so that fuse is not empty (and it is the 3rd fuse from the right-2nd row, just like the DIY states.

haven't been able to get to the car yet, however i know for a fact that i didn't pay attention to the fuse positioning in the tap. It came off my old car and i never took out v1's 2v fuse.

well take a look

Does the HomeLink functionality still operate when the car is off? If so, then you will definitely have to try some other fuse. I'll take a look at my fuse map again because I do recall seeing some fused sources that I was going to tap for other accessories and these were tested to be off when the car is off.

No. Only when the power is in the "accessories" position.

Yep. Check the fuse map. It might be a different spot for a different car
