I'm only free on the weekends, provided I don't work on Saturday and my homework doesn't keep me swamped on Sunday. Other than that, I may be able to hang out for a bit.

if we could get a decent sized group together, I'd be down...but from what I'v observed there arent many "proud" e90 owners in n.e. ohio.

![]() I'll actually be in Cleveland that weekend, I may be visiting family in Parma, so while I'll be close, I may not be able to attend, unless the schedule changes. I'll keep an eye on this one though 8) -BMW2006 |

Just dawned on me that my company picnic is this Saturday. I should be cool for Sunday if this is still happening.

There aren't! There's like 4 haha. It's pathetic. The brand that started automotive enthusiasm and there is no one in Cleveland, enthused.

I have a parking lot at home. I could take a picture of my car in different spots and composite a parking lot full of bimmers! My own little meet.

1) first time: I could instruct you 2) slow car: I used to track a Passat; it ain't the car, it's the driver. 'Course, in my case neither one was fast. Doesn't matter. It's not a race. 3) work: can't help you on this one ![]() |

I don't have a helmet. How gross are their rentals? When would we have to leave Cleveland to get there? How far away is Nelson Ledges? Should I be scared to track my car with my BBS rims? Any other things you think I should know?

There are no rentals. I have an extra helmet you can borrow. It's a motorcycle helmet, but unlike a club school, no one is going to care.
You can google map it to see how far it is from your home. Here's their website: http://www.nelsonledges.com/ It takes me about 20 minutes to get there; I live in Solon. If your rims are fine in daily driving, they will be fine on the track. Other things... - need to wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Ideally, they would not be natural fiber, but it really doesn't matter - shouldn't have to say this in winter, but no sandals and you have to wear socks - arrive with a full tank of gas (look up the last station you will pass). There is no fuel at the track and you will use a good chunk of your tank if you spend a lot of time on track - bring something to eat for lunch/snacks and plenty of drinks. It's possible but a pain to leave the track to eat. - Track charges $120 for the day. They take cash or check. - Unless you act like a madman, nothing bad will happen. You will eat up about 2 months normal driving worth of tire and brake pad. I recommend just diving right in (with someone's help). I took a friend to the last open day. He has a vette and had never tracked in his life. He had a blast. However, if you just want to watch and go on some laps with me, you could do that. You could show up in the afternoon and ride with me. You wouldn't have to pay the $120, they may or may not charge you a $10 passenger fee. Actually there is one danger. You could get addicted and start spending way too much time and money. |
