Angry 2009 335 Coupe Folding mirror gremlins...

Hello everyone. Looking for some insight from anyone who is in the know… My pride an joy has the flu. Every time I leave her alone for a while, I come to find that her drivers side ear is flipped forward. I have performed this reset:

Right when I think all is well, an hour later the Gremlins take over again, destroy my fix, and I find the mirror housing out of place again. I have yet to lose my temper, throw anything across my garage or kick any kittens. However, I fear a complete loss of composure in front of my family is in the very near future!

Hoping someone has some insight before I take her to the Doctor (stealership).

If this really is an $800 problem, might just go with this haircut option:
- I really DON'T want to do this but Im not about to drop 8 hundo on a folding mirror option that I never use. Just want her ears to stay where they belong… Warranty is LONG gone.

Thank in advance!
Best Regards.
