Vrsf catback question

Anyone with the vrsf catback exhaust ever replace the tips they supply for you with another type of tip?

I wanna get the vrsf catback but I wanna add the cyba 4" dry carbon tips. Would there be a problem adding a 4" tip on a 3.5" exhaust? Is that .5" difference to big to weld?

The muffler outlet is 2.75", you can use any tip with a 2.75" inlet
