This is a PLACEHOLDER only - below is a rough outline of what we plan to do, but the route will likely be subject to change.

Bear Mtn Run #2 - Other Surrounding Roads LIKELY.

The date of the event is Sunday June 8th.

WE WILL BE LEAVING AT 8:45 AM SHARP!

Part 1 of the Run: Bear Mtn.

The meeting spot will be at the Home Depot parking lot in the Palisades Mall around 8:30-8:40 AM. If you can't meet at Home Depot then you'll be able to meet us at the top of Bear Mtn. by going up Perkins Memorial Drive at around 9:15 - 9:30 (varies depending on who shows up and when we finally roll out).

Part 2 of the Run: Storm King

Dangerous/reckless driving will not be tolerated. Storm King is a very narrow and beautiful scenic overlook of the Hudson Valley. Problems last year with the police have given us issues, but assuming everyone behaves we shouldn't have a problem.

No burnouts, crossing double yellow lines, or any stupid behavior. It is a dangerous road with a 1 ft. high retaining wall stopping you from a 600 ft.+ drop.

Either before or after Storm King we will stop for lunch in the town of Cornwall.

Part 3 of the Run: An alternative to Storm King

Occasionally Storm King (Rt. 218) is closed for hiking/biking until 2 PM. If that is the case and we don't feel like waiting we can take a scenic trip up Route 9. Alternatively, we can also see about checking out the last two section of a recent map I found from a fellow E90Post member: http://goo.gl/maps/XBYlX

Check out the last two parts F & G for what I'm talking about.

Otherwise, that's it! Looking forward to a good time in less than a month!

Thanks guys for the photos! If you haven't already done so please join our Facebook group for more updates: Bear Mountain Cruise (as that will get updated before e90post most likely).

I'd like to do one more event probably in late June and another in July. I'd also like to have a few meetups over coffee over a few evenings during the summer. Thoughts? Please let me know what you guys would be interested in doing. I welcome all suggestions and would like to take more interesting trips to different roads and fun destinations. Please PM me or leave any input here or on our Facebook group. Thanks guys!
