I bought a used Amp to replace my broken stock one and the new one came broken from the dismantler, so they just refunded my money and told me to trash it. That gave me the idea to open it up and remove the harness clip and make my own custom harness for use with an aftermarket amp. I contacted Technic for one, but he seem's super busy since he never got back to me in a few days after asking for a papal payment request. I don't like to hound people which is why I'm looking at this alternative since I need to get a new amp in ASAP. I have no audio, not even the annoying door chime... lol, So that leaves me with one choice for a fast fix. My amp will be here Wed so if i can get the harness finished by then i'll be good.

For anyone else looking to remove this piece just use a heat gun (exact controlled temperature is better to prevent melting) run it at about 350 to 400 degree's C to remove the clip. It came right out with minimal effort and the clip fittings stayed in place (melted a tiny tiny bit of the plastic but thats because i had the temp higher than needed for a fast removal) but the harness fit right in the clip so nothing moved around during the removal. Except to melt the plastic a little since solder is lead free it takes more heat to melt. I've added up a few pics of the board, clip for those who are interested and seeing what the stock oem hifi amp looks like.

Does anyone have a diagram that shows what pin goes to what on the reverse side of the clip? Or maybe a diagram that shows the front of the clip with a numbered list of what wire goes where ect... I tried to find this information but I'm coming up short. It seems like everyone is just buying their harness, which i agree if i didn't needed a fast solution. This method seems to be the easiest and fastest if i can get the wiring faq on what wires are what in the harness. I figured this would be a good thread for others who have broken amps with the electrical skill to pull this off.

Any photos of a pin layout would greatly be appreciated.

That was the first place i looked lol. I wanted to find a picture with the pin layout and what pin did what and i only found it on the link i provided. The stickies just told me what wire was what and that would have required me to stare at each wire and try to find out what pin was what. I knew this information was out somewhere and I'm glad i found it. That would have been at least an hr of work to map the wires to the pins.

I finished the harness except for relay, still need to go grab one as well as a label maker and label the wires.

But for anyone interested doing this I would only suggest this if you have all the tools already and know how to desolder smd's/clips and solder wires to small locations.

Since I had the broken amp this whole project costed me $10 in supplies. If you have the stuff and skills I'm sure you can find an old e46 amp relatively cheap on eBay and use that clip, or if your amp is already broken and you don't care about removing it from a broken amp already it'll be a cheap harness in the end. If you can't get the clip for free or less than $40 it's probably easiest to just buy a technic harness. I highly suggest that way if you don't have soldering skills.
