I guess I don't understand why it's necessary to fold the mirrors at all, except in a few situations when you think the mirrors might get damaged by passing cars or other things. Nice to have that feature I guess but the thing I worry about is a malfunction of the motor or relay that folds the mirrors, if you use them too much. I just think that the more you use it, the more likely it is to break, which is why I wouldn't use it, except in a few limited situations. But, to each their own. Enjoy!

You didn't see my post on this page?
The guy played me, all he does is factory BMW coding. I guess it was my fault because I wasn't more specific, all I asked was "do you do coding?" The guy works for BMW of Greenwich and does side work at his garage. I can hook you up with matinence problems. Just not the coding |

That is brake force display, one of the versions at least, you can also enable flashing under heavy braking.

Are you referring to not having dimming at night, or are you referring to brighter daytime brightness? If you're talking about the latter, it has nothing to do with US laws. The DRLs are run at something like 9V or 10V instead of the standard 12V. This dims the bulbs, but it also makes them last longer, which means BMW saves a few bucks on their free maintenance program.

I have had no issues for 2 years. It has nothing to do with life of bulbs or anything. It's the same reason the fog lights are not allowed on at same time as high beams, just a US reg. They look much better a little brighter. Never had any issue.
