New Member with an appetite for destruction (mods)
Hello my fellow BMW enthusiasts,
I've been a lurker on this forum for quite some time and I'm finally going to start modding my baby. Snapped some photos in low light (bad weather here in NJ), I'll be sure to post some fresh ones when the car is cleaned and the weather is better. I picked this specific forum to make my intro because of the first mod I have on my bucket list: the iconic, beastly angel eyes. My car is a 2009 328i x-Drive Sedan in a beautiful blue (not sure exactly what the color's name is, anyone know? I haven't named the car, which I have owned for two years, but if anyone has suggestions I can always baptize it and give it a name. If anyone can help me out with the following questions it would be much appreciated. - From what I can tell, the car's body is LCI, even though it didn't come with stock xenons - I was reading the Angel Eye Comparisons sticky, and I immediately noticed that I probably have to change my whole headlight housing to the stock xenon version before I can indulge in OSS lights. - Since I am removing the whole assembly, I also need to get the LED left/right turn lights, which brings me to a very general question: Can anyone give me a checklist of everything I need to install the new lights. housing, ballasts, bulbs etc? Don't include tools in the check list. I have alot of reading to do, but right now I want to get the basic stuff bought from ebay since prices seem very low. Once I fix the headlights I'll get matching foglights too, but those require much less research. |

You shouldn't have to change the entire housing to get better performance from your angel eyes. I've been researching the same thing, same thread. This is what seems to be recommended although 200+$ for freakin lights is a little over the top

i would get a set of OEM LCI Xenon and ship them to lightwerkz to retrofit LED angel eyes and black them out if youve got the 2500 for that. other than that, just deal with the halogen lights or get yourself some depo headlights.
