Whistling noise from front passenger side
Wanted to see if anyone knows what this noise is. Under acceleration everything is fine and seems strong but as soon as I release throttle on deceleration (only on deceleration) it sounds like air is being released or leaking from the front right side. Its most noticeable when Im next to a barrier as the noise is bouncing back. Is this the wastage rattle everyone talks about it? I would have assumed that type of noise is more like metal on metal. This just sounds like a boost leak or maybe even exhaust leak? I don't know but any insight is appreciated. Thanks

Probably your rear boost tube. Check to make sure it is fully seated.

It is the black plastic tube connected to the intake of the rear turbo. You need to pull the belly pan. It should be fully seated.
Here is a thread with some pics and a possible fix. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...boost+tube+fix

Actually after looking at the pics, it shows from top down over but the intake manifold. Do you mean to remove the belly pan so that you can follow it to the actual turbo? So that both sides are seated fully? thanks

3rd pic is from the bottom up. It is on the right side of the engine towards the firewall.
