Halogen to HID Errors
Okay guys, I can code now! Yay
The reason I am doing this is to reset errors on my headlights. So I've looked this up and searched the thread, but a lot of the links are broken etc. I'm looking to get rid of theses errors. I know they are in the FRM module. I've turned off hot and cold low beam bulb check. Yet the errors proceed. Any help? Also I get the red car on a lift error (means something wrong with electronics) how do I get rid of that too? Is there a way with an error reset? Here are the errors:http://postimg.org/image/bxps13oqz/ http://postimg.org/image/x8nc5d6vf/ Last edited by Shahaed; 06-18-2014 at 06:22 AM.. |

I did the whole conversion when I had a 328.
Error 1 This is coming up because the HID bulbs are set at 35W while the halogens are set at 50W. You can either code it out or get a ballast with an error cancelor built in, or just get error cancelors and connect them to the ballast. In my case I had ballast with the cancelors built in so I never got the error. Actually only time I did was when a bulb actually burnt out. Error 2 Not 100% sure but it can mean a series of things. The first thing that comes to mind is that the car is due for some sort of an inspection. |
