There's always a few out of a large group that have an entitlement attitutde and they think the world owes them something.

Some grow up and out of that line of thinking, some will act that way their entire life.
Pretty sad either way.

Please guys lets keep this thread on track.
I personally had to pay on my own car a LOT more than 140$.
So i would have been more than happy with the price considering it is the only option available.
PS: Our margin of profit as a company on this profit is not much, probably the least out of all our other 1500 products.

Sorry but what's the purpose of this so-called "BUILD THREAD"? What is the track of this thread, I mean, so that we can keep it on that?

The purpose of this thread is to let everyone know that now there is a DP fix finally. Lots of people including myself were having a very hard time after BMS stop producing their DP fix.

Prices are set by the manufacturer not by us the vendor.
And as i said before our margin of profit on this product is very low.
If you would like to discuss with the manufacturer why is this product costing him so much please feel free to contact him.
He has been banned from the forum by the way; so you should contact him by email instead.

If you have any questions about the product please feel free to post it and i will be more than happy to help.

Mike,

I'm assuming you mean wedge performance and not the other one.

Some people think they need this when they really don't. If the code is disabled in the flash most people can still pass the OBD test since most places allow for one readiness monitor to not be set.

The other one doesn't appear to be banned as far as I can tell. No PM's but I assumed that was to prevent conflict of interests between business and personal.

He texted me saying he got banned when he replied to one of the guys complaining about the price.
Maybe the moderators considered his reply as a commercial one (since he was discussing prices) when he is not a vendor

I'll give my 2c, I think it's ridiculous to have a 40% markup on a product that was readily available at a "reasonable" price. There wasn't any R&D making this....it was already made and functioning as advertised. I'm glad I got mine from BMS. But in the end, supply and demand. If you guys have any talent in electronics, build one yourself. If not, split the cost with a friend that has one... or find a local person that will loan you the one they have.

I'll say this again this thread is not to discuss pricing about the product.
If you would like to discuss prices please contact the manufacturer, they set the price not us.
And we are not even making half the 40% you mentioned

$140 to pass many smog checks....

vs...

$150 or more to pass ONE smog check illegally.

vs

hours of frustration to uninstall/reinstall stock dp, then pass smog check, then uninstall/reinstall catless dp.

idk about u guys, I'd rather pay $140 one time. And when I'm done with this car, i'll sell it and get most of my money back.

Marginal cost vs marginal benefit. For some, marginal benefit will outweigh the marginal cost and they will purchase one. For others, marginal cost will outweigh the marginal benefit and they won't purchase one. Others will sit on the fence until it becomes more of a necessity to make a decision as their inspection date gets closer.
