E85 and 93 a which goes in first?

I'm going to run 2 gal e85 and 8 gal of 93 octane (contains 10% ethanol). I've read that that's a good mix, right?

So the dumb question, which one do I add to the tank first?

Is it ok to run this without adding flex fuel lines? Where can I get the flex fuel line if I decide to go that route? Any other parts need to be added for best results? Lpfp?

I'm just sticking with approx 30% mix but wanna run it as safe as possible so I don't mess up my car.

Doesn't matter as long as you don't put in the E when u only have two gallons of 93 in the tank and then drive to the station (Some of store the E in five gallon cans). No flex fuel wires, run map 5.

That's e25 which is fine. Use one of the various online ethanol calculators. 3/8 would give your e30. I'd probably stop there without specific ethanol tuning/fueling

30% mix or e30 is "safe" perse. More e85 will be better, but you would have to check your fuel trim as they your fuel pumps will be working harder with e85 fueling.

use the ethanol calculator.

i always put 93 first then e85, but doesnt really matter.

Put E85 in first then 93. It will mix and get circulated into the pump and fuel lines faster reducing the chances of misfires and timing pull especially after switching maps

The order doesn't matter. But I use to go 4 gallons with 10 93oct.

Remember we have 16 gallon tanks

+1...doesn't matter since the specific gravity is relatively the same. Maybe 7 hundredths of a difference.

Doesnt matter.
Keep the ratio lower than 35% if you do not have a map for e85

So if the 93 I'm using has 10% ethanol, I should just aim for 20% e85 mix?

Is that right?

I always tell myself that it's okay to put e85 in first then drive to a 93 station.
It's about half a mile away and I'm very light on the pedal.

Agreed that it doesn't really matter but I just typically put in e85 first and then 91 (california "premium" )

Make sure to give it some time to mix as well before you start enjoying the e85 !

Everyone keeps saying that e35 is max if he doesn't have ethanol tuning. So running e35 on a completely stock n54 is fine and won't blow an engine or anything?
Has anyone ran into a problem with having a HPFP failure with a higher than e10 concentration of ethanol in the tank and been denied a warranty replacement?

You really need to log your fuel pressures to know where your car stands with a particular percentage of E85. Older cars/fuel pumps may not be able to keep up with the fueling demands of higher ethanol content. Will it blow your engine? Probably not, but it may cause other problems.
