Hmm...well, you were somewhat correct. During the flush it would go: dark red -> brown -> dark red -> brown, etc. Not familiar enough with the fluid's full path of travel to know for sure the best method of doing the flush, but either way, I stopped when all I could get out was dark red again.

This was done with the car placed in Drive.
