Did BMW change the sensor technology between 2008 and 2011?

Are these systems compatible?

TPMS sensors did change on most models within that time period so in most cases they are not compatible.

I can confirm this if you can post the exact models of both vehicles.

Most likely no. BMW changes their sensors pretty often. What is the 5 series model?
