The guy who coded my car claimed it's embedded within the TCU. That you're just flashing the firmware that Alpina wrote into the bootloader instead of BMW's. It took him 5 min to do that and a number of other coding changes, so it seems reasonable to me.

Hey dark.. I've had the flash on my car for like 6 months.. I'll be honest I really like it in general but some days I am not a fan. I'm basically fbo and I've noticed that D mode is really granny mode! if your fan is ok with that than go for it.. in sport and manual the shifts are quicker you just tell when your tack is moving a lot quicker after a shift that its doing its job also I've had my car for service few times its no problem

Yeah I enjoyed it for the most part, but it felt a bit erratic now and again, especially in D mode, so I flashed back to stock.

I also told him that he shouldn't use me as a benchmark for any of this LOL

Hey guys. Will the Alpina flash work for N55 engine with all wheel drive ? I tried to get it done in Houston, but the shop told me it impossible !

It will work with on XI.


I think I may have misread info on the TCU flash, but does this benefit the 2012 - 2013 e92 models?

Your 2013 model is F30 ?

I tried to search for Alpina on 20111 N55 xi but no luck yet. Any one know more please help

They still made 2013 E92's, I have one. I am also wondering if it works for a 2013.
