Avant garde M359 WITH 5mm spacers is it safe?
I have set of Avant Garde M359
19 x 9 et35 front and 19x10 et38 rear 1) Can I run 5mm spacers all the way around, or is it not recommended to run spacers? 2) Can I run 5mm spacers only in the back, and is it safe and will the tires rub. I have a 2007 335i with sport package and I do not plan to lower the car. I keep reading that sedans have more room to push the rims out compare to the coupes. Thank you

spacers are fine, just make sure they are hubcentric, bolted using a star pattern (tightening every other bolt, little by little until tight), and torqued correctly.

Thank you guys. I will give it a try. I think I will go with the H&R spacers since with 5mm I wont need longer bolts.
Also 5mm spacer wont affect drivability right? I have the stupid habit of driving fast when i can....

Stick with a good brand ie: Eibach or H&R. They have spacers meant for BMW with center fit snug over the hub, unlike universals.

Your not going to notice much of a difference with 5mm spacers that's not even a quarter of an inch. If you want it to look more aggressive roll your fenders and do at least 10mm up front and 12mm in the back.

This would basically change the rear wheels from 19x10 et38 to et33, which is nice IMO, and fairly cheap to do. I will post pictures of when ever i actually do this, before and after... I read everywhere that putting 10mm spacer on these would cause rubbing on the e90s Thank you

actually once i got the rims and tires I loved it and I did not touch it. However, when the time comes, I will be getting 275 in the rears for sure.
I would like wider tires in the front as well but not sure how it would affect drivebility so i wont do it, as of now it seems the rims are too wide for the tires, but these do look amazing on the car. If i remember I will take some pictures, mine seem pretty flush all the way around.

Hi All, i just wanted to give an update.
I finally did install 5mm spacer with conti 265 in the rear and to be honest I did not like the look to much as the tire seem stretched, but i had no rubbing issues. I then got the 275 Michelin in the rear and the wheels would rub on big dips with the spacers, so I removed the spacers and it still rub very very rarely, however the look is so much better, the wheel is not stretch. In the front I went with 245 with no spacer, again the wheel looks a lot better no stretching compared to the 235, I do have some rubbing on full lock but it is not major and only happens at very low speeds. I will try to take pictures and upload them for you all, after a car wash though... :-)
