catless downpipe code question
alright so I have a somewhat confusing question. i have a jb4 and catless downpipes. i have the autoclear turned on. lets say for example that the catless downpipe code comes up every 60 miles. what happens if im at the 59th mile and then turn the jb4 off and go to the dealer and then they take it for a test drive and 1 mile later the check engine light comes on? is that how the downpipe code works? if that is the case then shouldnt i turn it to map 0 and drive around for the sake of my point 60 miles and then clear it and turn the jb4 off and take it to the dealer immiedlty after that because they would have to drive 60 miles for the light to come on after being cleared instead of the 1 mile if the light was about to turn on when i turn the jb4 to map 0. does what i'm saying make any sense?

QUE?!
I don't think anyone knows especially since the CEL is inconsistent for when it appears, however if you do find consistency in your vehicle then I think you answered your own question. GL |

in other words, if the code appears after a given amount of miles, but you take the jb4 out for service right before the code appears then the jb4 does not have time to re-clear it and if the dealer drives the car for a short distance the catless downpipe code will appear. is that how the downpipe code works?
