Anyone ever experience this? My one headlight looked like crap because who ever previously had taken it to some body shop and they sprayed clear on it. Well I managed to fix it and buff it last night and finally like new again. I thought after fixing it, the green tint would go away because the clear on the lense was altering it. This ended up not being the case and the rings are still colored. There was no green hue to them with the stock bulbs in it. I'm still going to look in there again and see what I can, but has this ever happened to any of you?

It's because your angel eye rings are discolored. I went to 6k angel eye bulbs and my outer rings are a noticeable green hue.

a couple things to check: I would remove the bulbs and take a look at the tips of the angel eyes ( as long as you have a pre-LCI e90 sedan). I have seen a lot of times that e-bay products will burn the angel eyes and cause them to bubble and melt. If this happens your headlights are trash.
As well when you remove the angel eye bulb keep it plugged in and turn the lights on. Check the color of the light out output. If it is a warm or netural white color then it will most definately look warmer color when installed. As well depending on the quality of the LED it might not be on the 'black body' curve and will produce too much green color. post a picture of the angel eye bulb too

I have the exact same problem and I have been told that the heat due to the 6K temperature AE bulbs have caused this and my only option is to either get a new headlight or get custom work done - both cost around the same amount of money

I can verify this as recently I installed a brand new headlight for a friend here in IL and now one of his head light is with the green hue on the AE's and the other one is perfect (just a matter of time before they go green as well IMO).

Not sure if there are other options out there for AE's that don't cause this. If there are then I would happily buy them. I am thinking of going the custom route anyway later this year.

I'm still going to inspect, but the light is basically trash then once it gets green? Tried snapping some pics but obviously not as noticeable in the day, but you can still manage to see a slight difference.
