Rear Suspension Bushings
So I've decided to upgrade bushings in the rear suspension... I've already decided to get the OEM M3 rear subframe bushings... but can't decide if I want to upgrade the diff bushings.
I definitely want a more solid rear suspension, and I don't mind a little extra noise from upgraded diff bushings, but don't really want a "harsher" ride. Would Delrin or Aluminum diff bushings really make the ride that much harsher? I never track the car, only spirited daily driving. So to sum it up: Do Delrin or Aluminum diff bushings greatly increase NVH? If so, which increases NVH more, Delrin or Aluminum? Thanks!

If you're a manual you might as well get the defivfab differential lock down kit. It replaces the diff bushings to aluminum I believe and even adds an extra bushing. It will help you to not snap a halfshaft when launching and remove any wheelhop you may have.

Yeah I have the Quaife LSD built by VAC... How is the ride roughness in the back? I don't mind a slight whine, but definitely don't want a really rough ride in back...

DEFIV lockdown kit is awesome....Have had it a long time and love it. I strongly suggest the powerflex yellow bushings over the M3.

You recommend powerflex yellow bushings over the M3 bushings for the rear subframe bushings? Why is that? How does NVH differ between the M3 bushings and the powerflex yellow bushings? Looks like your car is REALLY heavily modified #becauseracecar ...

lol! Yeah it it's pretty heavily modded. The M3 I had where a noisier and the vibration seemed to travel from side to side more. Powerflex was better feel especially around corners and a less noisy. The other thing is they are WAY easier to install.

+1 on DEFIV lockdown kit. I've had it for over a year with no issues. Expect a slight increase in NVH. Perfectly tolerable for me.

Listen to Rob and go with Powerflex. M3 subframe bushings combined with Quaife LSD can result in minor unwanted NVH. There are a couple of threads about this specific issue. Ask me how I know.

Wow, so the powerflex perform better and are actually less noisy than the M3 bushings... Where is everyone buying their powerflex bushings?

http://www.whitelinesuspensionparts....eries+E92+2009 Might do the differential bushings down the line as well since the car has a LSD now.

I use Whiteline bushings. Same thing as Powerflex and way less money.
