E90 N55 PPK Exhaust Flap Question

I have an E90 N55 with the Performance Pack 1. Part of the PPK is to keep the exhaust flap open at all times. Is anyone aware of how BMW does this? Is it a software i.e. coding?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't keep it open all the time. I say this only because when I golf teed the vacuum hose exhaust got louder especially at low end RPMs.

It doesn't keep the valve open at all times.

Garage List
the valve actuation can be disabled by
1) golf-tee mod (behind the left rear trunk panel, simply unplug)
2) and trivially the PPK2 (cat back exhaust)

Does anyone have a definitive answer to this, such as a video?

Everyone above is correct. When I start my car there is nothing coming out of the left exhaust... unless I unplug the flap

with PPK at startup once idle comes down to 600 RPM then it opens up... disconnecting the cable prevents the flap from closing..
