Wastegate Rattle
What's up guys just installed my AR Catless downpipes and the wastegate rattle is terrible, barely even hear the turbos anymore... Is there anything with the OpenFlashTablet I can do to lower the noise or is it possible that any dealerships in the NY/NJ area would do the turbos?
I have the following mods: BMS DCI VRSF FMIC AR Catless Downpipes KW v2 Suspension Will any dealerships even work with me or no? My car doesn't have the wastegate rattle with stock downpipes

Get the jb4 tune and fiddle with menu 10 and 12 options. Until then, check all your vacuum lines for leaks or cracks. Catless dp will bring out the rattle more in general. And don't bother going to dealer with castles dp

It sounds like there is air coming from the left side of the engine by the windshield washer fluid, is there any vacuum lines over there?

I would also suggest you rule out the pressure converters (number 4 in above diagram), that others on this forum talk about. I did the old Xede single pressure converter hookup, running one at a time, to see if one is bad. Also, the vacuum hoses at the front of the block to the drivers side tend to be loose at the connections in older cars.

Same problem when I put on my downpipes. It was pretty and too. I followed mr5 and adjusted the Wastegate actuator rod and the noise went away.

Curious did you do yours from up top or from the bottom? I've been thinking about doing this for a while now.

Edit do we have guides for other wastegate rattle fixes since we're talking about it ? I think I read somewhere else about someone using a piece of headgasket and that helped a lot. |
