Hi everyone,

I have a 2009 Bmw 328i, i was just wondering if its possible to put lowering springs on the original shocks/struts? Or is that a bad idea?

It is possible but it will decrease the life of the OEM shocks. Been there done that.

It's not actually a bad idea. But the majority here says that you will be shortening the lifespan of your oem shocks which makes sense because that is designed for oem spring rates. To answer the question, it has been done a million times.

Yes you can run any springs on your stock struts.

However the ride will be stiffer and you will feel the road more.
