I don't expect to record anything on the dashcam, it is there only for a "what if" scenario; hit&runs, insurance scams, etc...It is always on.
Virtually every speedo in every car reads fast but not as much as yours . Parkview will fix you up I bet. I had 3 years there and they are great.
How are you going to catch hit &run unless you rear end him? Insurance scams? Dash cams scream paranoia to me but to each his own.

Off topic but...

It's not about you hitting someone. It can help if your ever stuck in a situation like that.

Camera has a G-sensor, if it gets hit while parked - camera turns on and starts recording. Also records movement in general.

An acquaintance of mine had the exact same thing happen to him as in the video. With the exception that the car backed into him at speed and while the cops were on their way, 4 more people arrived and jumped into the car that backed into him, claiming injuries, etc.

Things happen, the time and money involved in installing a camera is miniscule in comparison with the potential fallout it can prevent.

Regardless, I have no faith in BMW from CS side anymore. I was witness to Audi dealing with a complaint of a much lesser degree and the way it was handled was eons above and beyond what BMW has done. Despicable.

It's funny how BMW corporate doesn't think that it's a big deal, meanwhile, I've had 2 people who were ready to buy, walk away from buying BMW cars after hearing my story; both have ended up with competitor's brands.

Sorry guys, but I had to resurrect this. The repair that Maranello performed on my car had to be redone less than 4 months after as it caused an oil leak. Not only is their customer service atrocious, their quality of work is on par! Whoever is taking over that dealership has their work cut out for them.

Took my car to another BMW service center @ Etobicoke, these guys performed tests as they should be done and had no problems with the dashcam. Not sure why I haven't heard of them before, but you can get an appointment with them same day.

Maranello is the worst dealership in the GTA. I will never return; sales, service, and parts department are all a joke. This place has really hit rock bottom...

I bought my 2010 E90 from Maranello. Some things in the car were completely overlooked when getting delivery. And that was surprising considering I paid cash for the car. Fortunately I had factory warranty service. So I got some things done without cost. But I used Mississauga BMW for my servicing and they were great.

Maranello's service is awful and looking at some reviews I am lucky to have come out unscathed.
