Help removing rear console please..

Hello, this is my first post. I've been a long time reader, but finally getting around to posting. I finally have a Titanium 328 that I got a great deal on just a couple of weeks ago. I'm ready to start modding! I just ordered the CF Fabric from PYSpeed. First interior mod. Can't wait to get started!

Now,.. I bought the car used, in almost pristine condition except for ONE problem. The rear center console has a nasty tear in the leatherette. NOT the coin/ashtray in the rear.. The part that goes separates the two rear seats, thats wrapped in leatherette. (With the little cubby and storage with the sliding cover) I'm planning to wrap this piece in CF too since finding the exact leatherette would be difficult.. All of the actual wood trim pieces come off easily, but his center piece seems to be bolted on somehow.. Does anyone have any idea of how I can get this piece off?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can take off the unit with the sliding cover by slightly pulling it up, then pulling towards the front of the car.
Under where the unit used to be, you will see two nuts (M10, I believe)
I also tried to take out the center console, but I noticed it was all in one piece (from the front of the car all the way to the back)
So you wil probably have to take out al the trim pieces of the center console.
The rear ashtray part comes out simply by pulling it up and toward the back of the car.
The part with the front ashtray and gear lever comes out by first removing the gear shift know (by putting it in 2nd gear and pulling it straight up).
Then you have to open the arm rest between the front seats.
Then you pull the trim piece up, starting at the rear side (by the arm rest) and then pulling it up and slightly towards the back of the car.
There's a cable going to the ashtray so you have to disconnect that before you can completely take the trim piece out.
I assume that you will see a few screws, bolts and/or nuts to take out so that you can take out the entire center console.
I can't say where these would be as I only took out the trim pieces to run a few cables from the armrest to the trunk.
Good luck

Here is what you need to do to successfully remove or replace the BMW E92/E93 Rear Console Storage Tray With Cover.

Please refer to the instructions below. I followed this and it was a 5 minute job.

http://workshop-manuals.com/bmw/3_se..._console_trim/

1. Remove the rear arm rest. Just lift it from the metal piping, there are no screws or anything of the sort involved.

2. Remove the Black inner lining inside the rear console to reveal 2 size 10 bolts which need to be removed.

3. Lift or Pull up one side of the rear console from the space where the arm rest was removed from and should come out on one side then you just Pull up the middle and the entire rear part should come out. The front part should also come out with a slight pull towards the rear of the car.

4. The replacement console just slide back in. Push down to clip and job done.
