Exclamation P2400 CEL ?!

Hey guys I've had a CEL light for sometime now ... scanned it and cleared it multiple times and it eventually pops up again . The code is P2400 my car is basically stock. Only modifications done are the muffler flap unplug and a resonator delete. Any ideas what it could be?

thanks for all your help,
Josh

As Enrita said, its a simple google search to look up P codes. Download a OBD2 code app if you have an iphone or android phone.

Bad EVAP pump. They're in stock at the dealers and aftermarket parts places. Common issue.

I know what the code stood for aha i just couldn't find any info relating it to our cars :P Definitely going to look into the evap pump. Any idea how much these run ? are they a diy type of project or would i need a mechanic? Never heard of this being an issue on e90s :S

just a heads up to anyone who ever gets this code,
I had to replace an injector about two weeks ago that finally failed on me. Ever since this code never came back... assuming it was related to a shit injector. nothing to do with my evap pump or anything..

Interesting. Evap systems can vary between OEM, but often they monitor a pressure bleed down, and if pressure is lost too fast, it flags a leak. What I don't know is if the area monitored includes fuel lines all the way to the injector (which may explain your case).

My car just set this code over the weekend.

Resurrecting this thread a bit...interesting that an injector was causing your issue. I had this code pop up and ended up replacing the DMTL pump this past weekend. Two days later, SES light reappears and after checking for codes, the P2400 code was back.

Pretty annoyed that I spent the loot on a new pump only to find that this wasn't the issue. Wonder if the injectors can be tested to see if they're causing my code?!
