My final CPO experience and future modding plans
I was having long cranks so i brought my car in to have it diagnosed. They chalked it up to a failing HPFP and replaced the part.
I still kept having the long cranks even after the HPFP replacement so I brought it back in a few months later. This time I was more detailed with what I had been witnessing. I noticed a plume of black smoke when my fiance started the car so I immediately thought leaky injectors. Sure enough, my tech found two leaky injectors and informed me he replaced all 6 because of a service bulletin (forget which one but I can grab it if it will help someone out). He also replaced all my spark plugs (not just the fouled ones). Great experience yesterday! With only a month to go on my CPO, I've been able to get most of the common maintenance items replaced (HPFP, LPFP sensor, 6 injectors, 6 spark plugs and they accidentally thought I had a maintenance plan and flushed my brake fluid lol). The car only has 50,xxx miles on it so I think now I'll start modding a little more aggressively. Right now I just have stock car K&N drop in with Cobb Aggressive. Planning to add Cobb catted DP's, vrsf 7" intercooler, vrsf CP with Tial and stage 2+ aggressive pro tune. Anyone have a ball park figure of what i'll be putting down once I'm done with the mods? Will be running 93 octance only at first and then I'll start to dabble with E85 I'm sure.... |
